The Advanced Papermaking Initiative
(API) is a program to enhance post-secondary
education for the pulp and paper industry
of British Columbia. It is funded from
an endowment granted in 1998 by a provincial
agency, Forest Renewal BC, with principal
activities at the University of British
Columbia (UBC) and the British Columbia
Institute of Technology (BCIT). The
Pulp and Paper Research Institute of
Canada (Paprican) is the principal industry
collaborator.
